Accessibility statement
General
The website umamo.app (the "Site"), including the management app app.umamo.app and the restaurant menus displayed through the service, attaches great importance to making its services accessible to people with various disabilities, out of a commitment to equal opportunity and accessibility of services and information.
We strive to ensure that the Site, our digital menus and our services are accessible to people with disabilities. Resources have been invested to make the Site as easy to use as possible, in the belief that every person has the right to equality, dignity, comfort and independence.
Accessibility level
The Site complies, to the extent possible, with the requirements of the Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities (Service Accessibility Adjustments) Regulations, 5773-2013, and with Israeli Standard IS 5568 for web content accessibility at level AA, in line with the WCAG 2.1 guidelines at level AA.
The Site is built with a semantic structure suited to assistive technologies and supports keyboard navigation. For the best browsing experience with a screen reader, we recommend using the latest version of NVDA.
What has been done on the Site:

- color contrast in accordance with the standard;
- text that can be enlarged up to 200% without loss of content;
- a text description (alternative text) for every image;
- a proper heading structure and support for screen readers;
- the Site adapts to phones, tablets and computers;
- menu screenshots on the Site are examples, and each of them is described in alternative text.
Accessibility menu
The Site has an accessibility menu by EqualWeb (Nagish BeClick) installed, which allows the Site to be adjusted to the WCAG 2.1 guidelines at level AA. Clicking the accessibility button opens a menu with the accessibility tools; after making a selection, please wait for the page to load. The software works in the common browsers: Chrome, Firefox, Edge, Safari, Opera.
Options in the accessibility menu:
- full keyboard navigation;
- adaptation for screen readers (NVDA, JAWS);
- font enlargement (up to 5 levels);

Restaurant menus
Restaurant menus in the UMAMO service include a built-in accessibility panel and were developed in accordance with Israeli Standard IS 5568 at level AA. The menu content — dish names, descriptions, images and their alternative descriptions — is entered by each restaurant, and the restaurant is responsible for the accessibility of the content it uploads.
Use of third-party components and websites
Where the Site uses third-party components or services — such as the Paddle payment window, sign-in with Google, maps or external links — there may be accessibility difficulties that are beyond our control and that we are unable to fix. The accessibility policies of those services are published on their websites:
- Google accessibility policy: google.com/accessibility
- Paddle: paddle.com
Physical accessibility arrangements
The UMAMO service has no physical customer reception; the entire service is provided online. For questions, you can contact us through the channels listed below.
